Volunteer

VolunteerIf you would like to put a bit back into the community and…

  • have a few hours to spare each week;
  • you are a student and want to do something really rewarding during the vacation;
  • maybe you are between jobs or assignments and are happy to do a project and add to the CV;
  • or, you are a skilled and experienced person with some time available to take on challenging assignments for charities;

…we could provide you with the opportunity you may be looking for. Volunteering is a great way to improve your career prospects, while playing a vital role in helping us to help charities.

Conferencing Support/Reception/Finance

Come and help us in the general administration of the charity. You will need to be a dynamic team player willing to roll your sleeves up! We are looking for people to help out providing book keeping assistance, reception cover and to support our meeting/conferencing services. If you are willing to give up a few hours of your week on a regular basis to join our team of volunteers we would like to hear from you.

Gardening/Handiwork

We are also looking for some volunteers to help us ensure our beautiful parkland setting looks at its best. If you have green fingers we would welcome a few hours to keep our courtyard and floral areas tidy. Alternatively you could help charities with general office maintenance and repairs, put up a notice board, redecorate offices, help with moving etc or perhaps be on call to help at our events.

Volunteer for a Project

Alternatively, if you have a few more hours to spend, perhaps on a short term basis, we have several projects that may appeal. Typically these would last 3 months and would need a few days a week of time commitment. If you think this type of volunteer work may suit you, please contact us through the form below and we will get in touch to discuss suitable projects that we currently have available.

Student Volunteers

The Clare Foundation is an exciting new venture which is looking to provide the chance for Student Volunteers to put something back into their local community, to gain experience and to build a CV as a stepping stone to full time employment. The Foundation has many links to local charities and employers so there will be opportunities to showcase your talents. On offer are project roles for approximately three months, for students who are looking to gain commercial experience in the Third Sector. Travel and lunch expenses will be provided. If you are interested, please contact us through the form below and we will get in touch to discuss suitable projects that we currently have available.

Charity Advisors Network

We are building a network of skilled and experienced people who would like to use their expertise to advise charities who may require help to solve a specific problem or need guidance on how to tackle a specific area. This type of volunteer work would be more on an ad hoc basis and the time commitment would depend on how much time the individual had and also the nature of the Charity's issue. It is a great way of directly improving and enhancing a charity's effectiveness.
