Transforming your Charity Using the Salesforce CRM System

Date: Monday 6th March 2017 Time: 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Price: £20 (Buffet lunch are included in the price)

Find out how charities are transforming their organisations using the Salesforce CRM system

Are you running your organisation on Excel spreadsheets and looking for something better? Are you using Salesforce and want to see how it's being used elsewhere in the charity sector? In this interactive seminar, we will explain how other charities are using Salesforce to organise their data, automate their processes and provide key metrics on demand.

In particular, we look at:

  • Automating processes and manual tasks to free up wasted time
  • Centralising data in a single system so that information becomes joined up across teams
  • Providing on demand reports and key metrics
  • Agenda

What is a CRM? - quick definition to make sure everyone understands the basics - no techie speak!

What is Salesforce? - brief overview of Salesforce, both the company and also as a product. Still no techie speak.

Common scenarios - examples of typical challenges relating to capturing and managing data and how this can limit the ability for charities to deliver their services effectively. Also an opportunity for attendees to comment on whether they are experiencing the same issues and flag other issues that are relevant to them. A chance for some discussion and knowledge sharing.

Interactive demo - we will demonstrate various solutions built using Salesforce so you can see how the system is being used in the sector and the positive outcomes that can be achieved. Bring your mobile, tablet or laptop so you can participate in the demo.

How to improve the performance of your charity

    Date: Friday 24th March 2017 Time: 9:30am - 11:30am
Price: £12 (Refreshments are included in the price)

Mark Harris of Enterprise Doctor will be delivering an interactive presentation entitled "How to improve the performance of your charity".

Mark likes his presentation to unfold and doesn't want to reveal all here, but he is prepared to share that together you will look at the different aspects of your charity and how you can address them to improve your performance. When Mark ran a business version of the event for Buckinghamshire Business First recently, the event secured a 96% approval rating from those present, so there must be something good about it!

You needn't be frightened by the word "interactive" - it helps if you get involved, but you can sit quietly if you wish, and just soak up the experience.

    About the Trainer

Mark has a wealth of experience in the business world, working for and running business both large and small. He also has a long history of involvement with charities, and currently donates his time to The Princes Trust, Thames Valley Police, the Community Security Trust, Marlow Bottom Parish Council and Buckinghamshire New University, as well as being Chairman of Wycombe Youth Action, a small charity based in High Wycombe.

You can see more on Mark at https://www.linkedin.com/in/enterprisedoctor and he will be happy to accept a connection request from you.

Event Fundraising for Small Charities: MOB Events

    Date: Monday 3rd April 2017 Time: 2:00pm - 4:00pm
Price: £12 (Refreshments are included in the price)

MOBs can be anything – mud runs, obstacle courses, adventure races, costume chases – but what really defines them is that they are hyper social, they are often team based, and they are a whole lotta fun.

Since 2007, there has been a 700% increase in mass participation events (Eventbrite / Just Giving data). Runs account for 18 of the 25 largest third party fundraising events.

Fundraising for MOB events is up by 18% - so the question is, as a small charity, how can you get involved in this market?

During this Seminar Sarah will explore trends in the market and explore what is next for fundraising events. She will offer advice on how to enter the MOB market, with opportunities for small and large budgets, and will explore creative ways to make your investment go further and how to maximise your fundraising.

Following the Seminar we will run a Q & A session and workshop, giving all attendees the opportunity to share their experience and knowledge in the subject. During the workshop we will explore ways in which attendee charitable organisations can collaborate to create valuable fundraising experiences on a small budget.

This Seminar will be ideal for you if you are looking to develop your charity's fundraising events programme to include MOB events, with a view to:

  • Increase fundraising
  • Attract a new demographic of supporter to your charity
  • Raise your charity's profile
  • The seminar will give you a thorough understanding of the MOB market, as well as plenty of advice on different ways to enter the market, to give you the maximum Return on Investment.

Engaging the Disengaged – Behaviour Change Tactics

    Date: Thursday 30 Mar 17 Time: 7:00pm - 9:00pm
    Price: £20 - £35

Behaviour change is a series of small steps that people take over time as part of a journey. The goal of that journey may be to reverse unhealthy patterns of behaviour, such as an inactive lifestyle. Behaviour change techniques have been proven to be successful in other social areas too, such as stopping smoking and losing weight by implementing a healthier diet. By taking this workshop, delegates will be able to provide their participants with the tools and the incentive to create lasting change in their lives.

This is a 2 hour workshop where delegates will learn:

    • How to use EAST (Easy, Attractive, Social, Timely) as a simple framework for achieving behaviour change.
    • Master simple strategies that can influence behaviour and ensure participants keep coming back to sessions and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
    • Identify the individual needs, motivations and goals of participants, and how to tailor content to suit them.

In a recent report by Sport England interviews with young people indicated that the style of coaching adopted in a session – and more precisely the skills of the coaches leading – were identified as the single most important determinants of whether a session is likely to succeed.
