“The Clare Foundation is a great venue in a convenient location just outside Wycombe. It is beautifully presented inside and outside and the meeting space was perfect for our requirements. All the staff were friendly and very helpful and the food was delicious! I wouldn’t hesitate to use The Clare Foundation again, or recommend it to others.”
- Blaser Mills

“The Clare Foundation is a superb organisation of which we have a significant involvement in, by way of sponsorship. It’s a truly worthwhile company supporting numerous UK charities, which we are positively proud to be engaged with.”
- Neil Riddoch, Director, ColourfastWorld

“We are delighted to be presenters at the Clare Charity Centre, running workshops on PR.  Martin and his team are incredibly well organised and efficient, ensuring that no details were overlooked in the running of our event. We were hugely impressed with the surroundings, from the warm smile as we entered, to the fantastic facilities on offer. The network of attendees The Clare Foundation works with is hugely impressive and we enjoyed meeting people with diverse experiences and answering their well-considered questions. We look forward to returning to the Clare Charity Centre soon.”

EduHaitian aim to raise £2250 to help 3 women finish university in Haiti

EduHaitian are raising money to ensure three young women are able to finish university in Haiti.

‚Äč‚ÄčEduHaitian provides support for children and young people in Haiti to get an education by sponsoring school fees and associated costs. The charity have been delighted to see three of their students rise above the odds to not only finish secondary school, but to have now moved onto university.

The full cost of attending university in Haiti was unknown until the young women began attending. Not only are there yearly admission fees and regular course fees, but books, work placements and even handouts were at an additional cost.

Deafax, in a joint venture with Intermedia Solutions, has developed an app to make information and services more accessable for sign language users.

The Signly app was launched at the Roald Dahl Museum in early December where user testing took place. The story was initially covered by local news sources including Mix 96, before it was passed on to the national news where Philip Boyle was interviewed for BBC Breakfast and BBC News Channel on Sunday 13th December, as shown below.

The beneficial app hopes to encourage families with deaf members to be able to enjoy the full experience of visitor attractions in the form that makes most sense to them. The app also looks to cover a wide range of information, including health and safety signage.

To find out more about the Signly app visit their website at www.signly.co or contact Philip Boyle at philip@deafax.org.
