The Clare Foundation is committed to making sure its website is accessible to everyone, and is constantly striving to meet appropriate standards and guidelines surrounding web accessibility.

The pages in our website conform to the 'XHTML 1.0 Transitional' standard using cascading stylesheets for presentation.

Resizing text

If you are struggling to read the text in this website, please try resizing the text by clicking on the options 'small', 'big' and 'reset' at the top of every page.

If you find you're still struggling with the text size, it can be altered by changing some of your browser settings. Please follow these steps -

  • For Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox: Use the View > Text Size options in the browser menu.
  • For Apple Safari: Use the Safari > Preferences > Appearance options in the browser menu.

Imagery and links

All images include alternate text tags to describe what is represented within the image. All links are titled and give details of where the link will take the user on clicking.

Access keys allow visitors to navigate around a website using the keyboard.

In most web browsers, the web visitor invokes the access key by pressing Alt (on PC) or Ctrl (on Mac) simultaneously with the appropriate character on the keyboard - please see a list of characters below.
